Name your 10 absolutely favorite couples (het/slash/canon/fanon) and ask people to see what trends they notice about your couples. Try to pick different fandoms.

Let's see...
  1. Laura Roslin/Bill Adama (Battlestar Galactica)
  2. Aragorn/Arwen Undomiel (Lord of the Rings)
  3. Caspian X/Susan Pevensie (Chronicles of Narnia)
  4. Harry Potter/Hermione Granger (Harry Potter)
  5. Bella Swan/Edward Cullen (Twilight)
  6. Draco Malfoy/Ginevra Weasley (Harry Potter)
  7. Leland Adama/Kara Thrace (Battlestar Galactica)
  8. Legolas Thranduillion/Arwen Undomiel (Lord of the Rings)
  9. Artemis Fowl/Holly Short (Artemis Fowl)
  10. Samuel T. Anders/Kara Thrace (Battlestar Galactica)
I think there are two seperate trends going on there. :P

In Real Life news...
~We're doing a votes simulation in History class. There are political parties, rallies, Meet the Press, and basically the whole shindig. I'm in Peace and Freedom, which is even more liberal than a Democrat. Go me.
~Our PAF group did tie-dye shirts today and I stained my hands green on accident. I pretended to be Elphaba on purpose.
~I'm not going to be able to make it to the Envelope Screening series because of school issues. Go figure. T.T Mary and EJO, why must you guys come over on a school night? WHYYYYYYY?!? And why Los Angeles?

[Error: unknown template qotd]Battlestar Galactica (2003), hands down. It's a space show, and yet more often than not it's also a human show. It lets you see the colorful sides of human nature when less than 50,000 people are crammed into a few ships after the apocalypse comes. There aren't any aliens and stuff (because the Cylons are just as human as the humans are), which makes fanfic a lot easier because then you don't have to look up the customs for that race of aliens (one of the reasons why it's so hard to write LotR fanfic...bloody Elves and Dwarves and their bloody customs...). Because BSG's characters are so complex and play out so nicely, you can see them in some fanfic situations. Maybe that's why writing BSG fanfic has been...well, simpler than other fandoms, maybe. And besides, the fandom in itself is frakking awesome. We've got great iconmakers, great fanartists, great vidders, great fanmixers, great fanwriters, and beyond fan-frakking-tastic fans. I'm glad I discovered this fandom and I think we're one of the greatest out there, so say we all.

I'd love to see an A/R vid set to Taylor Swift's song "Love Story". Whoever does that gets my eternal gratitude and a sticky note doodle. ;]
I suggest using the dance scene from Colonial Day and the dream sequence from "Flesh and Bone", but that's just about all I really have in mind. :P

There was, like, a frakking earthquake two minutes ago! My little bro's pretty frakking shocked at the moment...

Finished rewatching Season One of BSG. Those little A/R moments make me squee.
lily_winterwood: (hot for teacher bsg)

And there was one in particular that had me LOLing like the crazy semi-multishipper fangirl that I am.

Head!Six: Amazing. The Cylon fighters are ready to rain death upon you at any moment and you're actually thinking about what it would be like to have sex with her, too? (points to Laura)
Gaius: (has his "oh, you got me" look on his face) (looks at Laura)

Lily: Oh. My. Frakking. Gods. I think [livejournal.com profile] icedteainthebag  would love this.
lily_winterwood: (headdesk bsg)

OMFG I MISSED OPEN HOUSE! FRAK!

*sigh*

I've posted the first part of the epic spork of BST. Yay. There's a little bit of justice done. Honestly, even AU fics shouldn't be rankled with that much OOC. And I think I have a prospective future as an editor if I can't make it as a scientist... I don't know how many grammatical errors I had to fix. (Pretty frakking sad seeing that I'm most likely the youngest fanwriter in this place...other than [livejournal.com profile] cofmanynames )

And a little side note to [livejournal.com profile] laurandbillever : No, I'm not going to regret this. It'll be therapuetic, believe me. Like screaming into a pillow, ripping up paper, and breaking pencils.  And you won't even see it, so don't worry.

Testing starts tomorrow. Frak. I'm going to bomb the math section; I can smell it.

OH WOW.

I didn't notice it before. Stupid me.

MY GRAMMAR TEXTBOOK HAS EDWARD JAMES OLMOS IN IT.

There's like ten sentences about him that also have a personal pronoun in them. I swear I would have started squeeing at the top of my lungs had it not been ten o clock at night. :P

And the last sentence talked about him playing Jaime Escalante and I was all like, "WTF I SAW THAT MOVIE LAST YEAR! HOW THE FRAK DID I NOT KNOW IT WAS EJO?!?" This is all kinds of frakked up. Bleh.

Now I'm rushing off to school. Toodles.

ETA: Here's the assignment! :]

[Error: unknown template qotd]Haha. Some of my friends don't know that I like BSG right now.

And others are surprised at just how much love making fun of Harry Potter these days. They're surprised that I still ship Harry/Hermione and Draco/Ginny.

And I suppose I might as well admit that I hate Muse and Imogen Heap (but they're not pop, I think). And Miley Cyrus. Her voice is too flat.

As for the Twilight conundrum... I'm very Switzerland on it. There are parts I think are cute and other parts I'd gladly burn out of the book. Ditto for the movie. Maybe even the main (male) characters. Bella's a Sue, Alice is quirky, Emmett's okay, Rosalie's... okay, Jasper's interesting, Esme's my kind of mom, and Carlisle is frakking awesome and he looks pretty damn hot in the movie...

But the main male characters are... well... they have their good points and bad. Ed's corny and kinda creepy and definitely a Gary Stu. Jake's a little bigoted at times (until Renesmee the Speshul comes along). But Ed's rich and can bribe his way into anything (what wouldn't I give for a Harvard spot...;]) and Jake's funny.

I suppose I'm Team Carlisle. There's another thing people don't know about me.

Kay, so here's what happened today.

Question on the board: "True/False: the Viper, the Raptor, and the Raider bring in oxygen and remove cabon dioxide from your body."
Lily: *giggle*
Mrs. F: *giggle*
Student 1: Raiders? Isn't that a football team?
Mrs. F: Raise your hand if you're a Battlestar Galactica fan!
Lily and Mrs. F: *raise hands*
Mrs. F: Woo! GO BSG!
Lily: *giggle*
Student 2: Darn it, I got that question wrong!

In other news, I'm scheduled to take French I and French II next year. Glee!
